The LSTA grant that helps fund the Ohio Web Library is a temporary funding measure and will expire on June 30, 2008. Therefore, it is imperative that we find a stable funding resource for the Ohio Web Library. Read "The Ohio Web Library - Don't Keep It A Secret" for an overview of the Ohio Web Library, why it's in jeopardy and more ways to help.
Libraries Connect Ohio has created a plan and strategy for obtaining permanent state funding for the Ohio Web Library. In order for this plan to be successful, Ohio's entire library community must be involved, including: the three statewide library networks, the library associations, the State Library of Ohio, as well as public, school, academic, special, law and medical libraries.
Ohio's librarians and libraries can help the cause by:

Reading the Funding & Communication Plan and incorporating as many of the suggested activities as possible.

Educating your community about the Ohio Web Library and its benefits. The following toolkit is provided to help you promote the Ohio Web Library.

Sharing your story. Let us know how the Ohio Web Library benefits you and your library.

Reporting your successes, needs and questions to ohioweblibrary@oplin.org.
